The Metropolitan Area Express (MAX) is TriMet's light rail system serving the Portland metro area. Eighty-eight bus lines connect with MAX at various MAX stations.

The MAX Red Line operates between downtown Portland and the Portland International Airport (PDX), with no transfers required. .MAX  is an economic and comfortable  transportation from  Portland  airport to the  Portland Downtown .  

Hours of operation and frequency

MAX operates every day of the year beginning around 5 a.m. During the day, all trains provide Frequent Service, passing through each station every 10 to 15 minutes during the day. Schedules are posted at each MAX station.
