AUTHOR INFORMATION

Jeff Busch provides independent consulting services, is a Senior Consultant/Trainer for Cadence Management Corporation and teaches as an adjunct professor in the Engineering and Technology Management Program at the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University. With 35 years of hands-on experience, Mr. Busch is a recognized authority in project management and scheduling and has provided a wide range of consulting and training in Project Management, Strategic Planning, Disputes Resolution, Change and Risk Management and Business Management. Known best for his facilitation skills and innovative, hands-on training techniques, he brings both the vision and the technical knowledge for business applications. Having worked with hundreds of businesses, the diversity of business problems, as well as their success, has enabled Jeff to consult in numerous industries including; design/construction, manufacturing, service, telecommunications and the hi-tech related industries. Problem solving the many sides of business and then jointly implementing the solution with the business has been his greatest satisfaction in consulting. He has worked for such organizations as the Corps of Engineers, Oregon Dept. of Transportation, Nike, NetApp, Rockwell-Collins, Tektronix, Advent Software, AT&T Federal Systems, CH2M Hill, Northwest Natural Gas, Boise, Freightliner, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberely-Clark and dozens of local governments. He has provided consulting and management services in combined projects in excess of $2 billion. His planning and control capabilities provide the guidance and professionalism required to function in the highly competitive and risky business environment. With hands-on experience in problem solving, quality improvement and Project Management, many of the processes he has developed have provided greater efficiency and control procedures for businesses. As a practitioner and author, he has facilitated consulting sessions for state and local governments and more than 200 corporations in the US and abroad. He has been a trainer for PMI and its “Seminars World” since 1997. Jeff received his BS degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. He has published papers and written numerous articles in the field of Project Management and authored several training manuals for the national AGC, and various city governments. He is frequently requested to testify as an expert in project management and scheduling, and has earned his PMP (#737) from PMI.
